PHAP (Public Health Associate Program) sponsored by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is a 2-year, field-based public health associate training program. PHAP’s curriculum includes field-based training, seminars, and mentorship. To date, PHAP has placed over 1,000 Public Health Associates in public health agencies and non-governmental organizations nationwide. Our presenter will be Pita Gomez, PHAP graduate and Public Health Advisor with NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), who will share her experiences and discuss the program. The application window for the Fall 2019 program is January 4-10, 2019.
