UPDATE: South Henry Street will not be closed on Saturday, Oct. 4, to accommodate HVAC work at Schimmel/Conrades Science Center. Instead, Ohio Wesleyan will follow the timeline below to complete work on the heating and cooling system:
Monday-Thursday, Oct. 6-9 – The science center parking lot will be closed and coned off at 10 p.m. Oct. 6, followed by crane assembly Oct. 7, equipment lifts Oct. 8, and crane disassembly (rain day) Oct. 9. The parking lot will remain partially closed throughout the duration of the work, and building access will be limited. [The southeast and southwest doors (at the greenhouse) will be closed.] On Oct. 8, the whole building will need to be vacated.
Facilities began the ordering, building, and shipping process for the new equipment months ago and needs to complete the project during this time to help ensure the comfort of all who use the science center.
