Camp Oh-Wooo has three separate camp adventures, Challenge Camp, Service Camp, and Wilderness Camp. The selection committee is seeking individuals with leadership potential and an interest in positively impacting the lives of OWU students. It is our hope to create a community that is positive, inclusive, welcoming, respectful, educational, and supportive for the incoming class. Camp Leaders will lead/facilitate small group conversations at Camp, as well as assist with running projects, games, activities, etc. CLs will also be assigned tasks on the new student move-in day.
This is a volunteer position (can count as service hours) from August 17th to August 23rd. This time frame includes Camp Oh-Wooo fall training (Aug. 17 – 18), New Student Move-In Day (August 20th), and Camp Oh-Wooo (Aug. 21 – 23).
Students who are selected to be Camp Leaders are required to attend one (1) spring semester training session on Wednesday, April 8, from 4:15 – 6:00 p.m. and must be present for fall training (Aug. 17-18).
