Join the Science researchers on Nov. 3 from 12-1 p.m. in SCSC 167 to explore open science platforms and alternatives to the Open Science Framework. Learn how upcoming platform changes affect your research sharing and preregistrations.
The Open Science Framework is a commonly used tool for preregistering research studies and sharing materials with a broader scientific community. However, in November 2026, this tool will undergo significant modification and close to new projects. In light of these changes, the Social Influence and Behavior Lab has organized a short presentation and workshop to review alternatives to OSF.
We will discuss the goals of open science, the functionality we considered when identifying a new platform for sharing preregistrations and open materials, and suggest alternatives for researchers going forward. This workshop is best suited for researchers (primarily faculty) interested in open science practices. Please contact Ben Douglas if you have questions about the session or Barb Bird for general questions.
