New York Arts Program is extending our application deadline to Monday, Nov. 4 specifically for Art Education students to apply for our Spring 2025 semester. ArtEd students now have the opportunity to participate in internships that fulfill student-teaching major requirements.
NYAP’s ArtEd Track is a mentorship experience that invites students to take on the role of an artist educator through hands-on experience working with children in a progressive setting using the Reggio Emilia and Bank Street approaches. While working alongside seasoned art educators and administrators, students will learn to create and implement an anti-bias, emotionally responsive, and research-driven curriculum through engagement with a diverse student population in an urban setting. Project work, community care, and collaborative problem-solving are critical components fostered in this mentorship opportunity.
