April 2 @ Noon – The Love Bus Comes to the Tree House

The ENVS Department, Fine Arts, DEI Council, and The Upcycling Center at OWU all present:

The Love Bus: Beauty and Waste in the Face of Climate Crisis

Wednesday, April 2, from noon to 2 p.m. in front of the Tree House SLU (110 Rowland Ave.)

Learn about creative, affordable housing and more, as guests Cara Judea Alhadeff; her husband, Wild Mies; and their husky malamute, Max, showcase their converted school bus home–an eco-art project using 100% reclaimed materials.

Max and the bus are also characters in Cara’s picture book, Zazu Dreams: Between the Scarab and the Dung Beetle, A Cautionary Fable for the Anthropocene Era. Max plays himself, and the bus represents the whale, taking Zazu (Cara’s son) and Max on their adventures. Videos of the construction of the Love Bus and the adaptation of the book into an animated film will be played. Tours of the bus will be given.
