April 16 – ‘Common Ground’ Screening, Q&A Including OWU’s Kahlil Mitchell-Smith ’25

The Strand Theatre will be exhibiting the documentary “Common Ground” with a question-and-answer discussion immediately following the film. The screening and discussion will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, with doors opening at 6 p.m. at the Strand, 28 E. Winter St.

Ticket prices for the special event are $8.50 per person for general admission, $7 per person for students, and $6 for children, seniors, and military.

“Common Ground” is a sequel to the acclaimed documentary “Kiss the Ground,” which aired last April at the Strand as part of the theatre’s Delaware Community Conversations: Meaningful Movies.

Filmmakers say “Common Ground” profiles a hopeful and uplifting movement of white, black, and indigenous farmers who are using alternative “regenerative” models of agriculture that could balance the climate, save our health, and stabilize America’s economy.

The Q&A will feature: Kahlil Mitchell-Smith, an OWU senior majoring in environmental studies and philosophy; Delaware County Master Gardener Nancy Reynolds; and Anna Willow, a professor of anthropology at The Ohio State University.
