Are you interested in doing more for the welfare of animals? Donating money or pet-related goods to earn tickets for a basket raffle? Learning more about local pet vendors and animal rescues? Or just hungry for food trucks? Look no further!
On April 15, from 1 pm to 4 pm, Ohio Wesleyan University’s JAYwalk will transform into a PET-tastic event called POOCHELLA! This event is nothing short of exciting with Animal Ambassadors from local animal centers, informational speakers representing animal service organizations, local food trucks, adoptable pets, a basket raffle with prizes from local companies, and Delaware community music who are all joining in on the fun!
The event will include space for bring-your-own picnic blankets and camping chairs for front-row seats to the PAW-some fun! So be sure to bring yourself, your friends/family, and FUR-ever friends. This is a pet-friendly outdoor event for friendly pets, and we appreciate your consideration for human and pet safety, thank you!
OWU’s Pet Pals and Pre-Vet clubs are working with Ohio Pet Charities to organize this ulti-MUTT event! Ohio Pet Charities is a local nonprofit organization advocating for the well-being of pets, connecting with organizations to provide education and resources to pet owners. They organize and facilitate FUR-bulous events for pets and pet owners such as Barktoberfest, Honda & Hounds, Mistletoe & Mutts, and so much more!
There is no cost to enter the event; however, donations to purchase tickets for the basket raffle are encouraged!
- $1 = 1 ticket
- $5 = 6 tickets
- $10 = 15 tickets
- $20 = 30 tickets
- Used Donated Items = 25 tickets
- New Donated Items = 50 tickets
Things to Donate:
- Canned Pet Food-any brand (needed most)
- Dry Pet Food-any brand (needed most)
- Soft, meaty pet treats (needed most)
- Bleach / Fabuloso Cleaner / HE (High Efficiency) liquid laundry detergent
- Cleaning supplies / Paper towels / Trash bags
- Blankets (inexpensive fleece/stadium sized, 5×7 ft, works the best)
- Towels (Gently Used is accepted, please wash before donating)
- Pet toys (Gently Used is accepted, please wash before donating if possible)
- Natural Beef knuckles (no added filling) as seen on Chewy.com
- Aluminum cans
- Pet Collars (Gently Used is accepted, please wash before donating)
- Puppy Pads
- Protein Shaker Bottles (Gently Used is accepted, please wash before donating)
- Pet Nail Clippers
