Katherine lives in Colorado Springs, CO, and works as an Associate Professor of Biology at US Air Force Academy. Katherine is a microbial geneticist who is focused on higher education. While at OWU Ms. Bates studied genetics, microbiology, pre-med, and chemistry. She also is the founder of Phi Sigma Biology honor society chapter and lived in the House of Spirituality. She welcomes people to contact her if they are interested in discussing biology, federal service, and other topics. Ms. Bates is interested in speaking with a student virtually or on the phone.
