Statewide Tornado Drill with Sirens Set for 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 24

At 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, Delaware County will participate in a statewide tornado drill. Expect to hear sirens at this time.

With spring’s potentially unstable weather, please note the outdoor warning siren protocol: During a tornado warning, the sirens operate on a 3-minutes-on, 10-minutes-off cycle for the duration of the warning. No all-clear message is issued via the sirens, so make sure you have a way to receive emergency communications while you shelter.

The safest place to shelter is in a basement or windowless interior room on the lowest level of a building.
