Every day is a great day to be a Bishop, but we thought we’d spend the entire month of October celebrating! While we can’t change 2020 or host Homecoming on campus this year, we can give you something to look forward to… join us for It’s A Great Month to be a Bishop!
Campus pride and spirit is important to the Bishop community and wearing your OWU colors and gear is one way to show we remain #bishopstrong. The Alumni Relations Team invites you to join us as we kickoff the month for a day of OWU spirit on Friday, Oct. 2. Be on the look-out for ways you can post a selfie of you sporting your OWU red and black!
While there are lot of options to connect with other Bishops and explore new interests (and more programming being added), below are a few highlights. All are welcome to register and join in the fun! Check out the full schedule at owu.edu/greatmonth.
1. Join the Homecoming Town Hall with President Rock Jones featuring a campus “fly-by!”
2. OWU Virtual 5k: grab your walking/running shoes and register!
3. Get new recipe ideas, watch, and learn as OWU Chefs from the Cooking Matters program take on America’s Test Kitchen! (in partnership with the Department of HHK)
4. Join our Ask A Bishop event and hear about the world of elite athletics from alumni in the field. (in partnership with the Office of Athletics)
5. Register to vote at OWU Rocks the Block Vote on the JAYwalk, from 6-8 pm, Oct. 1! (sponsored by CPB and other campus partners) More info soon at www.owu.edu/cpb.
