Health Tip of the Week: Sleep Can Help Fight Infection

When trying to decide if you should go to sleep or watch TikToks until 3 am, try catching some ZZZs instead of getting sucked into Conspiracy TikTok. Evidence shows that getting enough sleep, usually about 7-9 hours for adults, helps support your immune system. When you sleep, your immune system produces cytokines that are crucial when it comes to fighting off infection. Regularly not getting enough sleep can increase your risks of developing diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Learning whether the Earth is actually flat can wait. Get some rest, Bishops!
