TODAY IS THE DEADLINE!
If you are currently a member of the freshman class who has taken any OWU History course (with the HIST prefix) Fall 2019 or Spring 2020, you are invited to submit a paper written in the class for the History Department Freshman Award!
These awards are based upon a paper you have written for a History class — simply submit your finest example (electronically) prior to today’s 4 p.m. deadline.
Please keep in mind, this is not something you create now — this is based upon a paper you have already written (or are working on/completing right now) for an OWU History course.
To summarize:
–The paper must have been written during this academic year.
–You must be a freshman.
–You do NOT have to be a declared history major or minor to be eligible for this award!
–If you have taken, or are currently taking, an OWU History class this academic year, please submit your best paper for award consideration.
Freshman History Prize: $100.
Submissions must be submitted electronically to the history office by 4 p.m. today, April 28, 2020 (last day of class). Submit your paper to “history@owu.edu”
(PLEASE specify which award you are submitting your paper for in the subject line!)

Submissions are judged by faculty members of the OWU History Department.
Award winners will be announced by the end of the semester.
**Paper must have been written while at OWU during the current academic year.
