Black History Month – Call for Events and Programs

This year the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs and the Student Involvement Office are coordinating a calendar of events to celebrate Black History Month (BHM) in February. The BHM calendar will include any event related to the history, lives, or cultures of African, African American, and Caribbean peoples or their experiences. Events may be held anytime between Feb. 1 – 29.

If your office or organization would like an event to be included in the BHM 2020 calendar, please complete this Google form by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24. We will ask for the following information:

  • Title of the event.
  • Location.
  • Start time (and end time, if applicable).
  • Names of sponsors.
  • A brief description (2-4 sentences) of what the event will be. This should include any relevant logistical information, such as where to buy tickets, registration, etc.

Events will be shared across campus and will be an opportunity to students, staff, and faculty to engage in events related to the history, lives, or cultures of African, African American, and Caribbean people.
