TODAY – Virtual Career Consulting with Avi Biswas ’15

Avi Biswas ’15 majored in Comparative Literature with minors in English & Socio-anthropology. In the five years since graduation, he’s done administrative work at a hospital and taught English to second language learners (chiefly Syrian refugees) in Canada. He’s written content for online brands and businesses on a part-time basis, and his side gig has been lucrative and fulfilling.

He feels that OWU is his intellectual & spiritual birthplace, and he is eager to help students as part of the Alumni in Residence program. His expertise is of use to those in humanities and anyone who is interested in working abroad, doing freelance work, or considering entrepreneurship.

Questions about remote work, clients and contracts? What is a digital nomad and how do I become one? Avi can help answer these and many other questions. “Ask Avi” and he shall answer (with a little help from his friends and Google)!

Sign up to talk to him virtually between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040d4ca8a82da2f85-ask
Students will be provided with a conference call invitation on November 13, the day before their scheduled appointment.
