TODAY @ NOON – Foundations in Non-Profit Work

Today, Nov. 19, from 12-1 p.m. in Ham-Wil 311, enjoy a free lunch and a stimulating conversation about nonprofit work with a special emphasis on critical thinking & problem solving.

Dan Sharpe, 2006 OWU alumni, will be leading this discussion, and will be answering your questions around getting hired and working within the nonprofit sector. Currently, Dan is Vice President of Community Research & Grants Management at The Columbus Foundation—one of the world’s largest community foundations. His responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of grantmaking policies, program priorities, and curating community knowledge by working with both nonprofit organizations and donors. He was recognized as one of Columbus Business First’s 40 Under 40 for 2019, is a graduate of Leadership Columbus, and is a past participant in the Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program (YALP). He graduated from OWU with a BA in Politics & Government and received a Masters of Public Administration from the Voinovich School of Leadership & Public Affairs at Ohio University. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights from one of our key Alumni leaders in the nonprofit sector!
