To all OWU faculty, staff, and administrators who were former high school band members: The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is OWU’s concert band, and we’d love to share a once-a-week 30-minute portion of our music rehearsal with you during the second half of the semester.
Beginning Thursday, Oct. 29, at 5:20 p.m. in Presser Rehearsal Room (Sanborn Hall), we invite all OWU employees to rekindle their HS band days and sit side by side with OWU music students as we play through a variety of fun band works.
No auditions, no pressure, and no expectation that you’ve maintained high school playing skills. Whether you played last week or last century, we’d love to have you join us.
At this stage, the main goal is to bring our OWU community together to perform concert band music. We’re interested in seeing how many people we can get to show up and what kind of band music we like to play.
Please complete this quick form by Monday, October 26 to sign up for the All OWU Concert Band. We’ll make a band folder for you!
