Calling all OWU Faculty, Staff, family, current students, and community members! The Class of 2030 is completing their First Lap on campus on Thursday, Aug. 20, and we need you to help give them the best Bishop welcome!
You’re invited to line both sides of the JAYwalk in your best OWU spirit wear. Participants will gather from Slocum Hall to Hamilton-Williams Campus Center. Plan to arrive and find your spot between 4:30 and 4:45. Staff volunteers from University Advancement will help line you up along the JAYwalk and will have pom-poms available while supplies last.
The students’ First Lap will begin upon completion of Convocation. The earliest their walk will start is 4:45 p.m., and we appreciate your being in place as close to this time as possible. Parking is available on campus. Once the students walk through your section of the JAYwalk, you are free to go.
