It’s time to start thinking about OWU’s 2026 Commencement, which will be held on Saturday, May 9! The support of faculty and staff is crucial to the success of this event. We want faculty to march in the procession and be a part of the ceremony, but there is plenty you can do before you have to put on your regalia. Please mark your calendars and consider how you might contribute to making this day unforgettable.
Are you crafty or artistic?
Help us decorate the stage on the morning of commencement.
Do you enjoy leading and organizing?
Become a lineup leader to ensure graduates are in the correct order and ready to go on time.
Would you rather be at the golf course?
Assist by driving golf carts to transport guests from the special assistance parking lots to their seats and back after the ceremony.
Love interacting with people?
Serve as an usher to hand out programs, direct guests to restrooms, and answer questions.
Unavailable on Saturday, May 9?
No worries! We also need help during Commencement Rehearsal on Thursday, May 7, and with moving instruments on Friday, May 8.
Stay tuned for more information and volunteer sign-ups.
