OWU Facilities will conduct state-required fire alarm inspections and tests during spring break, March 9-13, in several campus buildings.
Inspections will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. If your building is affected, you do not need to evacuate during testing, but note that alarms may sound and strobe lights flash multiple times.
Please note that because any issues discovered during testing may affect the inspection schedule, Facilities is unable to provide specific days or times for individual buildings.

- Beeghly Library
- Branch Rickey Arena
- Chappelear Drama Center
- Corns Building
- Early Childhood Center
- Edgar Hall
- Edwards Gym / Simpson Querrey Fitness Center
- Elliott Hall
- Haycock 3D Art Building
- Merrick Hall
- Phillips Hall
- Sanborn Hall
- Selby Stadium East & West
- Slocum Hall
- Student Observatory
- Sturges Hall
- University Hall
In addition, the state elevator inspector will be on campus next week to conduct required inspections. Elevators may be temporarily out of service for 5-10 minutes at a time throughout campus.
