Note: This notification contains information for students who are planning to participate in the Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony.
To participate in Spring Commencement, seniors need to have at least 32 units in progress or completed as of the Spring semester. 34 units and all other degree and GPA requirements are needed to receive your degree from OWU, but students with 32 units are permitted to participate in the Commencement Ceremony and finish the additional units required for graduation in the summer or fall.
Students who have fewer than 32 units are not permitted to participate in the Spring 2026 Commencement and will need to wait until the following spring. There are no exceptions to this policy.
If you intend to participate in the Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony:
- Review your Degree Audit to confirm you have at least 32 units in progress or completed as of Spring 2026. This number will show as “Credits Applied.” Consider adding additional units if needed. Make certain that any prior credit has been included (e.g., Advanced Placement or College Credit Plus).
- Discuss with your faculty advisor any steps you may need to take to reach the overall graduation requirements of at least 34 units and all other degree and GPA requirements.
- Submit your Graduation Application if you have not already.
