The OWU History Department welcomes Dr. Brooks Simpson, ASU Foundation Professor of History from Arizona State University, as the guest lecturer for the 2025 Richard W. Smith Lecture in Civil War History.
“Thunder in the Valley: Grant, Sheridan, and Hayes Triumph in the Shenandoah Valley, 1864” will be presented on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Benes Rooms in Hamilton-Williams Campus Center. This lecture is free and open to the public.
