Sign up for DANC 1502 on Mon, Wed, and Fri from 2:10-3 p.m. in the Jannuzi Dance Studio inside Simpson Querrey Fitness Center. Taught by Instructor Isabel Bowser (she/her).
In this course, we will ask, in what ways does improvisation show up in our lives? How can dance improvisation expand our capacity for creativity, resilience, and connectivity both within and outside of the dance studio? Through dance, writing, drawing, and collaboration, students will learn to engage with space, place, and memory within their dance practices in ways that heighten community-mindedness and enliven their world(s).
This course is for you if you are interested in:
- Exploring dance for the first time.
- Continuing your dance education.
- Expanding your creative capacity in all aspects of life.
- Being part of a collaborative classroom community.
- Learning through play and experimentation in a supportive, judgment-free space.
