Cleaning Up? Have Excess Toiletries or Food? Donate Them Now!

Wondering what’s up with those totes and boxes in the residential halls? How about those big Goodwill pods in the parking lots? Well, have no fear because I’m ready to tell you here! The totes and boxes are a part of the Department of Environment and Sustainability’s annual PIN (People In Need) collaboration.

If you have any unused toiletries or nonperishable food items, please donate them in their designated areas (nonperishable food in the boxes, unused toiletries in the totes) so that they may go to a better place! Totes and donation boxes have been conveniently placed in all residential halls and will be present from Monday, April 28, to Saturday, May 3.

As for the Goodwill Pods, those are the main component of our annual May Move Out campaign. This includes students placing all unwanted clothing and household goods inside the designated pods, so that they may be donated to Goodwill and arrive at a better home. As you downsize and prepare to leave for the semester, remember that the things you do not use could go to a better place with those who need them!
