The City of Delaware shares this planned road closure information to help everyone plan accordingly.
An overnight closure of U.S. 36 and Ohio 37 to all through traffic between Lake Street and SR 521 is planned for the evening of Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at 9 pm. The road will re-open at 9 am on Sunday, Dec. 15.
The 12-hour closure is necessary for demolition of the old railroad bridge at the Point. Both U.S. 36 (William St.) and Ohio 37 (Central Avenue) will be open to local traffic, only, to allow access to properties and intersecting streets. In addition, 36/37 will be open to local traffic only between 521 and Bowtown Road to allow access to properties.
