Former Employee Frank Hinchey Passes Away

We are sad to share that former OWU employee Francis “Frank” Hinchey II of Delaware passed away on Oct. 30. He was 82.

Frank served the University as a part-time adjunct instructor in the Journalism Department from 2000 to 2008.

His family shares: “As all who knew him can attest, Frank was a lifelong newsman. He followed a passion for reporting that began at the Rutland Herald in 1955 and led to a career covering sports and local and state news with the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Columbus Dispatch, and upon retirement the Ohio Outdoor News. He was proud to have taught fundamentals of journalism and media ethics at Ohio Wesleyan University as an adjunct professor. …”

Please join us in sending our deepest sympathies to Frank’s wife of 55 years, Martha Kellett Hinchey, and all of his many family members and friends. Services will be announced at a later date.
