March 28 from 2:40-4 p.m. (Elliott Hall, 4th floor lounge)
Students from all majors are welcome to learn more about careers in the non-profit sector and government from 2 OWU alums:
Dan Sharpe ’06

Dan went on to study at the Harvard Business School of Executive Education, and received a Masters of Public Administration from Ohio University. He has held a variety of positions at The Columbus Foundations since 2004 including Online Media Manager and Director of Community Leadership and Nonprofit Effectiveness.
Miranda Ames ’16
Miranda is Budget Management Analyst at the Ohio Office of Budget and Management. Miranda completed majors in Sociology/Anthropology and Economics at OWU. She has worked at a few different jobs before landing in state government.
Come hear how they navigated their careers and ask questions such as:
– How did you go about finding your various jobs?
– What were your grad school experiences like?
– What do you like and dislike about your job?
– How do you use what you’ve learned from OWU in your career?
– How have you navigated non-career life since graduating?
– Did you ever envision yourself being where you are now?
– What would you have done differently if you were to start over again? What would you not have changed?
– What advice would you have for students about to graduate?
