This award is given to a student selected to assist a professor in conducting faculty-led research. Professor Gitter is looking to hire a research assistant for a project that is examining the relationship between recent graduates of Ph.D. programs in economics and the schools that hire them.
To be eligible for the Fellowship, one must be a declared major in Accounting, Business, Economics, Management Economics, Finance, Finance Economics, Quantitative Economics, or International Business. The primary skill required is the ability to track down publicly available data on individuals online and enter it into a spreadsheet. Some preference will be given to those who can perform statistical analyses.
