Ohio Wesleyan will be installing “High Hopes,” a 30-foot metal sculpture gifted to the University, in front of Bradford Milligan Hall on Monday. To accommodate the crane and other materials needed for the work, the Bradford Milligan Hall parking will close at 9 p.m. Sunday and reopen after the installation is completed on Monday.
All vehicles must be removed from the lot for the work. Students are able to park in the 4 Williams Drive lot, at the soccer field, and in other student spaces. Vehicles not moved from the lot by the deadline will be subject to tow.
The sculpture, created by artist Bret Price, is a gift from James F. “Jim” Dicke II and his wife, Janet S. Dicke, to recognize the transformational tenure of President Rock Jones. The campus community will gather at 4 p.m. Friday, April 28, to dedicate the sculpture.
Thank you for your cooperation as OWU installs this donor gift to honor Rock and beautify Bradford Milligan Hall with public art.
