Tornado Safety Information

With spring’s unstable weather, please note the outdoor warning siren protocol. During a tornado warning, sirens will sound for three minutes, repeating every 10 minutes, until the warning expires. There is no all-clear signal.

During a tornado warning, the safest place to shelter is in a basement or windowless interior room on the lowest level of a building. Please remember to keep all windows and doors closed to prevent injury from flying debris.
