Work for the OWU Museum of Natural History in 2023-2024! Did you have a family member (parent/step-parent, grandparent, cousin, aunt, uncle, sibling) graduate from Ohio Wesleyan? You will curate specimens and digital records in the teaching and research collections of the OWU Museum of Natural History, located on the first floor of the Schimmel/Conrades Science Center, including (but not limited to) new exhibit design and the creation and presentation of public programs.
Required: Minimum GPA of 2.5. Attention to detail, ability to work independently, familiarity with Microsoft Access and/or Excel; ability to speak to members of the general public in person or on video. Preferred: Completion of at least one BIOL or ART class (especially ART 492-Exhibition Practice) OR experience in identifying birds, insects, or fish OR experience in the preparation of taxidermy or other types of natural history specimens.
