Talk With a Faith Leader: Minister of the North Unitarian Universalist Congregation Come join the Chaplain’s Office and Residential Life to hear from our fourth faith leader in our interfaith series. Rev. Dr. Susan Ritchie has served as Minister of the North Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Lewis Center Ohio since 1996. She is also Director of the House of Unitarian Universalist Studies at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, where she serves on the faculty. Previously she was Associate Professor of Church History at the Starr King School for the Ministry. Rev. Ritchie is well-published on the topic of Unitarian Universalist history and identity, including her books, Children of the Same God: The Historical Relationship Between Unitarianism, Judaism, and Islam and Dark and Stormy: Unitarian Theology in Gothic and Ghostly Literature 1789-1912. She holds a PhD. from the Ohio State University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Rev. Ritchie has also served a six-year term on the national Board of the Unitarian Universalist Association; with part of that time as Secretary of the UUA. Favorite recreations include family time with Donna (spouse since 1991), anthropomorphizing the pets, hiking, home repairs, and ambitious cooking.
