We are sad to share that former OWU faculty member Johnnie Ray Hoopes passed away Feb. 13 at Willow Brook at Delaware Run. She was 94.
She taught home economics between 1954 and 1960 and again in 1963. According to her obituary, Johnnie also was an art docent for over 30 years at the Columbus Museum of Art and a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Delaware.
Johnnie’s survivors include her grandson, Robert ’16. Please join us in sending our deepest condolences to him and all who knew and loved Johnnie. Per her wishes, there will be no services.
