The Ohio Wesleyan Department of English in conjunction with the Chaplain’s Office invites all students, staff, and faculty to a memorial Celebration of Life event honoring beloved poet, professor, and colleague David Eye. This event will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 4:15-5:15 pm in the Bayley Room of Beeghly Library.
Staff and faculty will share opening remarks, and guests may then share their favorite poem by David, any work of creative writing that encapsulates their experience with or sentiments surrounding David, or any remarks on their experience in his classroom or his presence here on campus.
Any student who would like to contribute but is not comfortable sharing verbally in front of a microphone may submit remarks in advance to eng@owu.edu, and a staff or faculty member will read them on your behalf.
