Blackboard Updates Coming in September

Each month, Anthology releases feature updates and bug fixes for Blackboard Learn. Here are highlights of what’s coming in September, mostly for Ultra courses:

  • Copy rubrics between courses. From the Copy Content menu, select the Rubrics folder from the desired course. To copy all rubrics, you may select the checkbox for the Rubrics folder.
  • Sort question banks. You can now use sorting controls to easily sort question banks based on the name, number of questions in a bank, or the last edited date.
  • Discussion replies on the discussion grading page. You now can respond to a student in a discussion while grading their participation.
  • Non-posted grades included in Grade History. Grade History now includes a log of changes to non-posted grades.
  • Summary list of annotations for inline grading (Original and Ultra Courses). When inline grading, now a side panel will summarize all comments in a list. Selecting a comment will navigate you or your student to the location of that comment in the document.
  • Set points for manually added Gradebook items. Now instructors can always edit the maximum points value when using any display type.
  • Test Timer Notifications There are now gentle notifications for timed assessments, instead of an always displayed timer.
  • Activity Stream navigation improvements. To help make it clearer where you will be navigating, there is now an on-hover underline to the course name and the content item name.
