Looking for BIPOC Students to Participate in Student-Made Short Film

Looking for BIPOC students to participate in a student-made short film about the ways students of color experience belonging and the lack of belonging at OWU.

Please fill out the following interest form: https://forms.gle/Ubq5u2wzqxu89ZVe8

Throughout the course of this academic year, I will be completing a Mentored Activism project to fill the final requirement for my Social Justice minor. I will be creating a 10-minute film using oral histories of the experiences and thoughts of students of color that contribute to their sense of belonging and lack of sense of belonging.

For the project, I will be referencing Cornell University’s definition of sense of belonging, which states “belonging is the feeling of security and support when there is a sense of acceptance, inclusion, and identity for a member of a certain group. It is when an individual can bring their authentic self to work” (“Diversity and Inclusion”, 2021).
