The Bishop Way team is in need of faculty/staff volunteers to serve as Bishop Way small-group facilitators on Tuesday, Aug. 24, for first-year students. We need facilitators to commit to at least one of the 2 in-person sessions below. Because the groups are larger this year, we hope to have 20 facilitators at each session. For those who have not facilitated before, we hope you consider participating — we will host a training to review the content and presentation.

Camp Oh-Wooo Presentation August 24, 2021:
-10:00am – 12:00pm
-1:00pm – 3:00pm
These sessions will discuss general statistics the incoming class provided to us in surveys they take before they arrive, review some learning points they might have missed, and share University support resources. Your role will be to help lead the discussion about escalation, active bystander skills, and resources. We want students to have positive discussions about sexual respect and what it means to be a Bishop in a community that cares for each other and their well-being. You will lead students in discussing the early warning signs of relationship abuse and what they can do if they witness or experience these warning signs. We will ask you to reiterate resources on campus to support mental health and safe alcohol/other drug use. Don’t worry! We will have an outline and format for you.
