The power outage that affected central and academic campus Monday continues to impact Beeghly Library, which will remain closed today, with staff working remotely. In addition, the following six central campus buildings will be affected by a planned electricity outage from 1-3 p.m. today.
-
Chappelear Drama Center
-
R.W. Corns Building
-
Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at OWU
-
Hamilton-Williams Campus Center
-
Mowry Alumni Center
-
Richard M. Ross Art Museum
During the outage, B&G will work with a contractor to install temporary power to Beeghly Library. We expect network access and cable TV service to continue working during the power outage, except for the six buildings directly impacted by the power outage.
Food service in Ham-Wil will be closed during the planned two-hour outage, but Smith Dining Hall will remain open.
After we receive the parts needed for Beeghly, we will schedule another power outage to complete permanent repairs. (We likely will do this work in a couple of weeks on a Saturday to minimize the disruption to campus. The timing of Wednesday’s work is tied to the availability of the contractor needed for the project.)
Those working in buildings affected by tomorrow’s planned outage should consult with their supervisors to plan their work schedules and locations.
Thank you for your patience as we work to repair and improve Ohio Wesleyan’s infrastructure.
