"Alice Leora Briggs, born in Texas, grew up in Idaho's Snake River Valley. She now lives in Lubbock, Texas. She first visited Juarez in 2007, and soon began working with a number of people who shared her interests in the agonizing realities of that city, among them Charles Bowden and Molly Molloy of Las Cruces and Julian Cardona of Juarez. Briggs' drawings and installations have been featured in dozens of exhibitions...  Her work resides in many private and public collections, including the Tucson Museum of Art; The Phoenix Art Museum; The de Young Museum of The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; The El Paso Museum of Art; and The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, Arkansas."
