Making Entrepreneurs’ Dreams a Reality…

The U.S. Entrepreneurship Competition (USEC) at Ohio Wesleyan University is for student and professional entrepreneurs who seek to discover a path forward to make their startup dreams a reality.

Beginning July 1, 2024, entrepreneurs will be able to apply to compete in the USEC, Ohio’s largest entrepreneurship competition. Those selected to compete in either the student or professional track will present their ideas to a panel of seasoned and experienced judges September 26, 2024, on the OWU campus.

Any currently enrolled college student or 2024 college graduate in the United States can compete for the grand prize, a $100,000 investment in their company. Likewise, entrepreneurs not enrolled collegiately are able to compete in the professional division for the same size prize of $100,000.

The judges will announce the top three winners in each track that day, with final placements announced Oct. 5 during an Ohio Wesleyan Homecoming and Family Weekend celebration. The winners will earn prize packages valued at $100,000, $75,000, and $50,000, respectively. First- through fifth-place winners all will receive investments. Visit Awards to learn more.

The competition is organized by the Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at Ohio Wesleyan University, a first-of-its-kind liberal arts business accelerator and the first-of-its-kind city, county, and educational institute partnership.
