{"id":707,"date":"2020-03-27T10:42:43","date_gmt":"2020-03-27T15:42:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/sustainability-workblog\/?p=707"},"modified":"2020-03-27T10:42:43","modified_gmt":"2020-03-27T15:42:43","slug":"may-move-out-2020-status","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/sustainability-workblog\/2020\/03\/27\/may-move-out-2020-status\/","title":{"rendered":"May Move Out 2020 Status"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Progress Before Spring Break (Late March 2020)<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact was made with people at the Marion Goodwill\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Carlia Meehan<\/strong> cmeehan@mariongoodwill.org (District Manager)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evan Geyer<\/strong> egeyer@mariongoodwill.org (Operations Director)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dates for Mini May Move out as well as the larger end of the year May Move out\u00a0 were decided on with the two of them in mid March.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mini May Move Out<\/strong>&#8211; March 26 and 28,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>March 26 &#8211; truck outside Chappelear Drama center from 8am-2pm<\/li>\n<li>March 28 &#8211; student vollunteers help sort\u00a0 donations at Marion Goodwill 10am-2pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>May Move Out<\/strong>-April 15\/16-May 13\/14<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>April 16 &#8211; Pods dropped off<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Saturday April 18 \u2013 Friday April 24, 7am -7pm, <strong>collected by Goodwill on Friday April 24<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Saturday April 25 \u2013 Friday May 1, 7am \u2013 7pm, <strong>collected by Goodwill Monday, Wednesday and Friday<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Saturday May 2 \u2013 Sunday May 10, 7am \u2013 8pm, with students helping at each pod. \u00a0<strong>Goodwill will check and clear out each pod daily during that week,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>especially Sunday around 4<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Monday May 11 \u2013 Wednesday May 13, \u00a0building and grounds employees will be emptying the hallways and corridors of any final items for the pods.\u00a0 <strong>Goodwill will need to be available for multiple pick-ups each day,\u00a0especially Monday at 9am.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>May 15th\u00a0pods are picked up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Locations for the pods has not been modified but with construction on campus the Smith Location will need to be at least for this year. Historically they have been&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Smith<\/strong> &#8211; North side of building by Service and Delivery Parking<\/li>\n<li><strong>Welch &amp; Thomson<\/strong> &#8211; Loading dock area of parking lot<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stuy<\/strong> &#8211; West side of building near Student Observatory<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chappelear<\/strong> &#8211; Front of building<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hayes<\/strong> &#8211; North side of building in the parking lot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1 style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since COVID-19<\/h1>\n<p>With most students rushed off campus\u00a0 after an extended Spring Break, Meg Edwards spear-headed Manic Moveout in place of Mini May Moveout since Goodwill was still willing to bring a truck to campus.
