Macmillan’s Caravan Library series was first advertised in the Times Literary Supplement on Mar. 29, 1928, and last advertised in the TLS on Dec. 24, 1938, when the series consisted of “Some 60 Titles.” A few reprints appear through the 1940s. In all, I can find 67 titles in the series most if not all from Macmillan’s back catalog.

At least two dust jacket variations exist (below); I believe the red style jacket is earlier than the green style jacket.

A 1935 reprinting (1929 first printing in series) of Sir John Fortescue’s The Story of a Red Deer is among the later reprints in the series, and the titles on the jacket differ a bit from earlier jackets. At this time it is likely that certain titles had gone out of print. The price has dropped from 3/6 on earlier jackets.
