German (Europe, Germany)
Opportunities for commercial photographers increased after the second world war, when consumer goods became more available for personal use in many countries. German born photographer, Walde Huth, founded and operated an advertising photography studio alongside her husband Karl Hugo Schmölz from the 1950’s-1980’s. Huth became renowned for her collaborations with the fashion and textiles industry, staging models of haute couture on the street instead of in the studio.
