If they would like to receive their 1098-T form electronically, please ask them to give consent by following the link provided below and following the step-by-step instructions. 1098-T\u2019s will be provided by the end of January 2027. If electronic consent is not received by <strong>January 1, 2027<\/strong>, the 1098-T will be mailed to the current address on file with the Registrar&#8217;s office. If you have moved since applying to OWU you should verify with the Registrar that your address is correct.<\/p>\n<p>The benefits to receiving electronic notification are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Online delivery provides access to the form 1098-T earlier than the traditional mailing process.<\/li>\n<li>Online delivery eliminates the chance that the 1098-T will get lost, misdirected or delayed during delivery, or misplaced once you receive it.<\/li>\n<li>Signing up for online delivery is easy and secure.<\/li>\n<li>Students can receive their 1098-T form while traveling or away from their home address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To give consent to receive the 1098-T form electronically, the student should click on the link below and follow the simple instructions to sign up!<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/heartland.ecsi.net\/\">https:\/\/heartland.ecsi.net\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>At the top right of the page click <strong>Register<\/strong> to create a profile. If they already have a profile, click <strong>Sign In<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Once logged into their account. Navigate to <strong>Your Communication Center<\/strong> at the top.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Tax Statement eConsent<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>At the bottom of the page click <strong>Add New Consent. <\/strong>Once clicked the Electronic Consent Application will open below.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the Electronic Consent Application.<\/li>\n<li>Check the box and click <strong>Submit &amp; Accept<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Information regarding your tax documents is available at this <a href=\"https:\/\/heartland.ecsi.net\/index.main.html#\/access\/FAQtaxDocuments\">ECSI website<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.owu.edu\/about\/offices-services-directory\/finance-administration\/office-of-student-accounts\/tax-information\/\">OWU website<\/a>.
