To help your family plan, we have combined our most\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.owu.edu\/academics\/commencement-week\/frequently-asked-questions-faq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.owu.edu\/academics\/commencement-week\/frequently-asked-questions-faq\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1778173168550000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3NB72u26gZNZ-_rVWPP9w0\">frequently asked questions<\/a>\u00a0with a specific timeline for the day&#8217;s events.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Commencement Day Schedule<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><b>9:00 AM \u2013 11:00 AM \u2013 Morning Brunch<\/b>: Please stop by for a brunch open house honoring the Class of 2026 in the Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, hosted by the President\u2019s Office.<\/li>\n<li><b>11:30 AM \u2013 Student Check-In &amp; Lineup<\/b>: Graduates should arrive at this time to begin preparing for the processional (Labyrinth-Sulfur Spring Walkway).<\/li>\n<li><b>1:00 PM \u2013 Ceremony Begins<\/b>: The formal processional starts promptly at 1:00 PM.<\/li>\n<li><b>2:00 PM \u2013 Presentation of Graduates<\/b>: Students will begin crossing the stage individually to be recognized in alphabetical order.<\/li>\n<li><b>3:10 PM \u2013 Ceremony Concludes<\/b>: The event will end with the presidential blessing, the ringing of the OWU bell, and the traditional cap toss.<\/li>\n<li><b>3:10 PM \u2013 5:00 PM \u2013 Post-Commencement Celebration<\/b>: Immediately following the ceremony, please join us in the Benes Rooms of Hamilton-Williams Campus Center for a campus-wide celebration hosted by our Academic Departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Frequently Asked Questions<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>What if it rains?<\/b>\u00a0We do our best to keep the ceremony outdoors on the Rock Quad in front of Merrick Hall. If there is light rain, we will stay outside\u2014please bring a poncho (we ask that you skip umbrellas so everyone can see the stage).<\/li>\n<li><b>How will I know if it\u2019s moved indoors?<\/b>\u00a0If the weather doesn\u2019t cooperate, we will announce a move to the Gordon Field House by\u00a0<b>9:00 AM<\/b>\u00a0that morning. Each graduate receives six indoor tickets. If your student hasn&#8217;t picked them up, you can visit the Will Call table at the Field House (inside the East garage door) on Saturday morning.<\/li>\n<li><b>Will there be professional photos?<\/b>\u00a0Yes! Professional photographers will capture your graduate with President vandenBerg and in front of an OWU backdrop, so you can relax and enjoy the moment from your seat.<\/li>\n<li><b>Will my graduate receive their diploma?<\/b>\u00a0They will receive a commemorative OWU diploma cover during the ceremony.
