Dana Bucin, an award-winning immigration\/international attorney,\u00a0<\/span>presents \u201cWhat to do about immigration? An Immigration Attorney\u2019s Take on Navigating a Flawed System,\u201d on\u00a0<\/span>Oct. 28 at 7 pm in the Benes Rooms inside Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, Delaware.<\/p>\n

On Oct.\u00a0<\/span>29 at noon in Merrick Hall 301, Bucin will be joined by OWU Professors Robert Gitter and Veda Kim for a related panel discussion, “On Immigration: What\u2019s the Matter? What Matters?” where guests and students will be able to ask questions of the panelists as well as participate in the discussion.<\/p>\n

A 2002 Ohio Wesleyan graduate, Bucin is a partner at Harris Beach Murtha, a 250+ attorney law\u00a0<\/span>firm with offices in Connecticut, Maine, New York, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia. Bucin is also the\u00a0<\/span>Honorary Consul of Romania to Connecticut, a diplomatic appointment that enables her to facilitate cross-border educational, business, medical, legal, military, and cultural exchanges.<\/p>\n

Both events encompass\u00a0<\/span>OWU\u2019s 2025-2026 Benjamin F. Marsh Lecture on Public Affairs; Butler A. Jones Lecture on Race and\u00a0<\/span>Society; and Robert Kragalott Lecture on Genocide, Mass Atrocity, and Human Rights. Admission is free. The\u00a0<\/span>events are sponsored by the departments of Africana, Gender and Identity Studies, History, Politics &\u00a0<\/span>Government, and Sociology &\u00a0<\/span>Anthropology.
