Registration for Fall classes is kicking off now!\u00a0Because class sizes are intentionally small, some classes may be full by the time a student goes to register.<\/strong>\u00a0This is especially true for first- and second-year students.\u00a0If your student is not able to add all of the classes they want at first, do not fret. There are a variety of resources available to help.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Students can contact their\u00a0advisor<\/strong>, who can recommend other courses that fulfill the same requirements or share the next time a course will be offered. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and advisors may be teaching or assisting students during the day, so sometimes it may take a while to hear back. Rest assured, students will get a response.<\/li>\n
  2. Students can contact\u00a0academicadvising@owu.edu<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0if they have not heard back from their advisor in 48 hours. There are 72 hours between registration windows, so there is still time to make adjustments before other students register.<\/li>\n
  3. Students can waitlist the course, then contact the\u00a0professor\u00a0<\/strong>to explain their desire to take the course and see if it is possible to enroll. This option may not be available if the classroom size, equipment, or instructional methods depend on the listed class capacity, but it is still worth asking.<\/li>\n
  4. Students can\u00a0attend\u00a0<\/strong>the first week of the class in Fall, even while they are still on the waitlist. Often, other students will drop a class once the semester has begun, and students who demonstrate they are still interested in the class get first dibs on adding.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
