OWL Camp, OWU’s summer camp for students in grades 5-8, received a $20,000 Community Grant from the Delaware County Foundation. OWL camp is designed to meet the intellectual, social, and emotional needs of gifted and talented middle school students. It offers a place for students to learn new ideas, be challenged, and interact with others who have similar abilities. Curriculum focus for the week-long June and July camping sessions utilizes the expertise of OWU faculty and other specialists in the areas of humanities, creative arts, mathematics, science, logic, and computers. OWU students are encouraged to apply to be counselors for the five-week summer session. Students are compensated with a monetary stipend, room (and board for residential camp) for training and the dates that camp is in session. The 2025 camp season begins June 6 and concludes July 10. Interested OWU students can learn more about this summer employment opportunity here.
