We hope your student is enjoying the first few days of summer break! As you and your student look toward the next academic year and if additional support is at the top of your list, explore OWU’s programs Bishop ACCESS and the Sagan Academic Resource Center.
Bishop ACCESS is a fee-based program that provides one-on-one academic coaching for students with executive function disabilities including, but not limited to, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health Disabilities.
Bishop ACCESS supports the student’s entire career at OWU by placing a special focus on individual needs relevant to each year. For instance, the first and second years of the program prioritize:
- Adjusting to campus life
- Connecting with campus and community resources
- Enhancing academic skills
- Increasing self-advocacy skills
- Supporting service-learning opportunities
The Sagan Academic Resource Center works collaboratively with students, empowering them with the skills they need to be independent and life-long learners—both inside and outside the classroom. This is a proven model that translates to academic and post-graduate success! Best of all, all the services are FREE and include:
- Academic Skills Center – time-management, note-taking, study and test-taking skills, stress management
