Students recently participated in the Student Health and Wellness Survey. Information received through the survey will help inform decisions that the University makes in its plans to support students in the future. Highlights of the responses include:
- 34% of responding students reported having visited the Health Center at least once during the current semester.
- 71% of responding students reported that they were either very happy or somewhat happy with the care that they received from the Health Center.
- 76% of all respondents reported that they prefer in-person care for their physical health rather than virtual appointments.
- 17% of responding students reported that they had at least one session with OWU’s Counseling Services this semester.
- 20% of the students who did not schedule an appointment with Counseling Services reported that they utilize other support resources for their mental health.
- 77% of the responding students reported that they were either very happy or somewhat happy with the care that they received from Counseling Services.
- 66% of all responding students reported that they prefer in-person mental health support rather than virtual appointments.
- 83% of responding students reported that they are either very happy or somewhat happy with their physical health.
- 40% of responding students reported that they are either very happy or somewhat happy with their mental health, and 47% reported that they are either very unhappy or somewhat unhappy with their mental health.
